What turns up on your drive

A box trailer built to be a kitchen

Outside, it looks like a smart box trailer: white panels with aluminium corner extrusions, rows of rivets along the edges, and our yellow, blue and navy waves running along the lower third. Our logo sits big on the side and again on the front.

Underneath is a galvanised twin-axle chassis with four road wheels and full-length mudguards. At the front is an A-frame drawbar with the hitch and a jockey wheel. At the back, corner steadies wind down to the ground.

You get in through the access door at the front corner, with a window and a pull-down step. Inside is a fitted kitchen pod: units, worktop, oven, hob, sink and the rest, on a non-slip floor.

The trailer comes in three lengths. The sizes page lets you switch between the 10ft, 12ft and 14ft in 3D and see the kitchen layout change.

Towed in, levelled and connected

You do not lift a finger. This is what our team does on the drive.

Connecting the trailer power lead to an outdoor socket, next to the outside tap and water hose
  1. Tow in and position. We reverse the trailer onto your drive, as close to the house as access allows, with the door where you can reach it easily.
  2. Level it. Jockey wheel down, corner steadies down, adjusted until the floor sits flat.
  3. Connect power. We run the lead to your supply and switch the pod on.
  4. Connect water. The hose goes onto your outside tap and we run the sink hot and cold to check it.
  5. Walk you round. Oven, hob, extractor, fridge freezer and, in the Family sizes, the washing machine. Then the kitchen is yours.
Collection day

When your kitchen is back, the trailer goes

Tell us the date your new kitchen is working. On collection day we disconnect the power and the hose, wind up the steadies and the jockey wheel, hitch up and tow the trailer away. Your drive is yours again the same day.

Running over? Tell us before your last booked week ends and the trailer stays another week. No gap, no rush to finish the worktop.

Between you and the neighbours

A trailer that looks the part

A kitchen trailer on the drive is the first thing the street sees. Ours is clean white with the yellow, blue and navy waves and our logo, so it reads as a kitchen, not a builder’s store. The door sits at the front corner, and the drawbar points to the road for an easy tow out.

What your drive needs for a kitchen trailer

Four things. If you have them, you have room for a temporary kitchen unit.

Space

Room for the trailer plus its drawbar, with space to open the door and stand on the step.

Access

A route in from the road for a towed trailer. Gates, walls and tight turns are fine as long as you tell us when you book.

Power

We bring the lead and connect it to your household supply.

An outside tap

The sink runs from your outside tap. We bring the hose and connect it for you.

Not sure it fits? Send the postcode and we check the access with you.

Kitchen trailer hire or mobile kitchen hire?

Built for families, not festivals

Search for kitchen trailer hire or mobile kitchen hire and you find catering trailers for events, burger vans and commercial units for schools. Those are built to serve food to a queue.

Ours is a domestic kitchen. It is laid out for a family to cook, eat and wash up in, it runs off a house supply, and it stays on one drive for the whole of a kitchen refit or an insurance repair. If you need portable kitchen hire so life at home carries on, this is the one.

Want the numbers first? The cost page has a calculator that shows what the weeks without a kitchen cost in takeaways.

How does the kitchen trailer get onto my drive?

We tow it in behind our vehicle, reverse it into position, unhitch it and wind the jockey wheel down. Tell us about gates, low walls, overhanging trees or a tight turn when you book and we plan the approach before delivery day.

Does it need to be level?

Yes, and we do it. The trailer stands on its jockey wheel at the front and corner steadies at the back, and we adjust them until the floor is level, so the fridge runs properly and nothing rolls off the worktop.

Can it go on a sloped or gravel drive?

Send your postcode and a photo of the drive when we call. We check the surface and the slope with you before we confirm the booking, so there are no surprises on delivery day.

What does it connect to?

Your household power and your outside tap. We bring the lead and the hose and make both connections on delivery.

Is this mobile kitchen hire for events?

No. This is a domestic kitchen trailer for families whose own kitchen is out of action during a renovation or an insurance repair. It stays on one drive for the length of the job.
